How We Can Help
Services
Acute Care
We offer active but short-term treatment for patients suffering from an injury or accident, an urgent medical condition, or before, during or after surgery. Proper diagnosis and pain relief are our top priorities with corrective care encouraged to avoid a return of symptoms.
Corrective Care
For patients suffering from chronic pain or discomfort we offer corrective chiropractic care. The focus of this type of care is on treating the underlying structural and alignment problems in the body that lead to pain and injury. This comprehensive approach includes adjustments, stretching, and exercises.
Maintenance Care
With an emphasis on staying well and enjoying good health while continuing proper habits established in Corrective Care our Maintenance Care can help patients to reduce their risk of injury, increase mobility, improve spinal function and improve their daily life.
Techniques done
Kinesiology Taping- A combination of cotton and nylon this tape is meant to give a joint support but not limit its mobility. Kinesiology tape can also be placed to help with posture and to increase the space within a joint. Kinesiology taping has also been linked to reduce pain in an area treated along with improving circulation of blood and fluids.
Cupping-Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.
IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) -Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) is a popular treatment for myofascial restriction (muscle knots). IASTM uses specially designed instruments to provide effective treatment of adhesions and scarring brought on by surgeries, injuries, and overuse of muscles.
Interferential Current (IFC)- The use of electrical impulses to stimulate underlaying tissues and nerves to override the slower pain frequencies and to promote healing of the tissues. These gentle impulses can promote relaxation of the treated area and a reduction in pain.
Therapeutic Ultrasound- The use of ultrasound as a source of a heating therapy has been around since the 1950’s. Heat is good for warming tendons, muscles and other tissues to improve blood flow and accelerate healing of the injured area. Ultrasound has similar effects as IFC but is usually better at treating tendon and ligament issues.
